Frequently Asked Questions

If you have a question that is not on this list please contact us and we will be happy to answer any of your questions.
What is it like to skydive?

It's like nothing else you'll ever experience. You don't get that "roller-coaster" feeling of dropping; it is more like floating or flying on a bed of air.

Do I need a reservation?

Yes. In order for us to best serve you, reservations are essential. Availability is limited, with your reservation we require a $50 non-refundable deposit. You can make your reservation online on our reservations page or call us at (570) 335-7628. We are usually able to accommodate last minute, and even day of, reservations, but you would need to call us to confirm.

What is a tandem jump?

Making the leap of a lifetime has been made easier and more available than ever before, thanks to the advent of tandem skydiving. You will exit the plane securely attached to an extremely experienced  tandem instructor, who will guide you through the process, helping you to relax and enjoy the experience, knowing you're in the good hands of a well trained professional. This alleviates the anxiety of jumping alone, and helps to make your experience truly unforgetable.

Why to people skydive?

There are probably as many reasons that people skydive, as there are people that skydive. For some, it is intensely personal, a challenge met or an obstacle overcome. For others, it is a lifelong dream and a chance to “do the extreme thing” and get their adrenaline fix.

Can anybody skydive?

You need to be 18 yrs of age with valid picture ID. You must weigh less than 230 lbs. (must be height and weight proportionate, some restrictions may apply). You must also be in good health.

Will I be scared in the plane?

Most people tell us that they leave their fears on the ground and feel a sense of calmness as the plane rolls down the runway. When the door opens at jump altitude and you exit the plane your fears will probably have all gone away. Soon after jumping, sheer excitement of the adrenaline will take over!

Can I get a video footage & photographs of my skydive experience?

Yes. Our instructors can wear specially made and mounted cameras strapped to their hands. They will document your entire experience from on the ground, inside the plane, the freefall, the parachute ride and after landing. While we can only film one person at a time in freefall, we will make every attempt to capture as much fooage as possible of the friends or family members that you may have jumping with you, both in the plane and on the ground.

Where do you land?

We land right on Skyhaven Airport, located in the beautiful Endless Mountain region of Wyoming County.

How long will the skydive take?

This initial formality usually takes about 30- 45 minutes. With the training, preparation, aircraft ride, jump, and skydive debrief, you should plan on being here for about 1/2 a day. Usually, we will have you on your way home in 2-3 hours. If you want to be out of here as soon as possible we highly recommend morning appointments. Mid-morning to early afternoon, especially on the weekends, are always busy.

What should I wear?

Dress accordingly for the conditions. During the hot summer months, shorts or athletic pants and a t-shirt and sneakers are fine.

Will weather ever be a problem?

We will not be jumping when it is raining, very windy or when the clouds are lower than 8,000 feet, but we still can do your paperwork and training, so that you will be ready to skydive right away, if you have to come back another day. Weather can cause unexpected delays, so please try to be patient. We promise to get you up into the air as quickly and safely as possible.

Do you do group discounts?

Yes, be sure to check our "rates" page. For a very large group we may be able to give you an even better rate, but we'll need a firm head count and plenty of advance notice, so that we can block off the appropriate amount of time for everyone to jump.

Is it true you can never forget your first jump?

Your very first jump is one of life’s precious memories that will stay with you always. You have met a challenge, faced your fears head on, and have every reason to be proud. You are now in the elite category of skydivers!

Will I be required to sign a liability waiver?

Yes. Similar to almost any other adventure sport facility, at Endless Mountain Skydivers, you must sign our assumption of risk and liability waiver agreement in order to make a tandem skydive. You may take all of the time you wish to read and consider the agreement before signing it.

Will my tandem skydive count toward any accredited skydiving certifications?

Yes. To receive your ‘A’ License from the USPA, you must complete the freefall course and make 25 skydives. Your tandem skydive will count toward the requirement. Simply advise your instructor that you would like a certificate evidencing your tandem skydive. Your instructor will provide you with a signed certificate right after your jump at no extra cost.
